Ignis Women's 10k 2012, a set on Flickr.
The annual Women's 10k in Glasgow attracted over 10,000 entrants. Some 8384 completed the course on Sunday 13th May in the wind and later rain. With a new prize system, which rewarded Scottish runners, some of the countries finest femal runners took part. Including Freya Murray and Susan Partridge who had both recently completed the London Marathon. Freya led from the Start and crossed the line in a time of 33:36, with Susan earning Silver with a time of 34:05. Freya's Edinburgh AC club mate placed third and first vet in 35:58, pipping Dumfries RC's Joasia Zakrzewski by 4 seconds. Hundreds of Scotland's finest club runners chased PBs, whilst thousands of other runners met their personal challenges and/or raised money for various charities.Wheelchair Race
