I received a pleasant surprise at the local camera club when I was informed that this photo was judged to merit runner-up place in their monthly competition.  The theme was food and although I thought about doing something creative, I do like photos which tell a story of actual life.  I took this one on my recent holiday in Thailand and it was just next to my hotel.

It's always good to get complimented on your photos but it's even better when it's by your fellow photographers.
